March 2026
All times PST (Pacific Standard Time) until March 8 2:00 am when we return to Pacific Daylight Saving Time (PDT)
Mercury and Jupiter are retrograde as March begins. Jupiter goes direct on March 10 and Mercury goes direct on March 20. After that, we are free of retrograde planets for the rest of the month. That’s just as well, since Mars and Uranus don’t need to be retrograde to set the stage for trouble and confusion. In case you can’t tell, this is being written as bombs are falling in the Middle East. February certainly went out with a scream and a howl. On we go.
Sun Mar 01 the Moon is in Leo all day. No matter what the outside world does, we and our work can still shine. All month long. A golden day of the week with a golden Moon. Just like last month, but we can do things differently this time. Let’s hope we can do better.
Mon Mar 02 the Moon is in Leo for the first few hours until the Moon enters Virgo at 4:34 am. This can lower the temperature of our working environment. Say thank you. At 6:16 am Mars changes signs, leaving Aquarius and entering Pisces. Mars is not very happy here but can still do good things. Be energetic and nudge Mars in that direction.
Tue Mar 03 the Moon is in Vigo all day. At 3:38 am we have the Full Moon at 12 Vir. It’s also a lunar eclipse. If you’re up late, find a buddy and go out and look. Lunar eclipses can get personal and emotional. Virgo can help keep things under control.
Wed Mar 04 the Moon is in Virgo until 10:56 am when the Moon moves on to more congenial Libra. You may not get a lot done but it should be a pleasant time.
Thu Mar 05 the Moon is in Libra all day. At 9:14 am the Sun trines Jupiter retro. Even if you don’t think big, you may be expected to act big.
Fri Mar 06 the Moon is in Libra during the morning and afternoon. At 2:46 am Venus changes signs, leaving Pisces and entering Aries. Trade up from the moisturizer and wear more war paint.
Sat Mar 07 the Moon is in Scorpio all day long. At 3:02 am the Sun conjoins Mercury retro. It may be a seat of the pants kind of day. Don’t overthink things. At 3:27 am Venus conjoins Neptune. This can be another reason to feel sentimental.
Sun Mar 08 the Moon is in Scorpio all day. At 6:40 am Venus conjoins Saturn in Aries. Older people, especially older women, can make a big difference. Do you have a character that fits that description? Why not? At 10:23 pm Mercury retro trines Jupiter retro. If there were things you didn’t get around to doing today, make a note. Tomorrow is another day. Pacific Standard Time (PST) comes to an end at 2 am and leaves us with Pacific Daylight Savings Time (PDT). Heads Up. I suppose this makes some people happy.
Mon Mar 09 the Moon enters Sagittarius at 8:37 am and is there for the rest of the day. At 11:21 am the Moon trines Neptune. Try to indulge a good habit rather than a bad one. Neptune will not discriminate for you. At 2:15 pm the Moon trines Saturn. It’s easy to take control. I might just spend the day editing and improving something. At 5:34 pm the Moon trines Venus. It’s easier now to smooth out a wrinkle. It’s a day full of trines. Jupiter is extremely powerful now as it is moving extremely slowly and preparing to go stationary direct tomorrow. Brace yourself to be luckier and the world to be more generous. It won’t happen instantly but in time it will.
Tue Mar 10 the Moon is in Sagittarius all day. Jupiter goes stationary direct at 8:30 pm. Authority is on pause, reconsidering. Since you are the authority for your projects, relax and take a second look around.
Wed Mar 11 the Moon is in Sagittarius until the Moon moves into Capricorn at 9:07 pm. You can get a lot done today, maybe on a big project that has been in time-out for a while.
Thu Mar 12 the Moon is in Capricorn all day long. At 12:03 am the Moon squares Neptune. If it’s a toss and turn kind of night, that too shall pass. At 3:21 am the Moon squares Saturn. Dreams aren’t always cozy but the feelings usually don’t last. At 12:59 pm the Moon squares Venus. If not happy with how things feel, maybe change into more comfortable clothes and settle down.
Sat Mar 14 the Moon moves into Aquarius at 8:13 am. At 11:12 am the Moon sextiles Neptune. Music can improve the mood and the working situation. At 2:47 pm the Moon sextiles Saturn. A nagging plot problem may have a simple easy solution. At 5:35 pm the Moon sextiles Venus. Be happy with how things are looking. You’ve got a gentle touch today.
Sun Mar 15 the Moon is in Aquarius all day. Mercury conjoins Mars in Pisces at 1:08 am. Go ahead and act in haste. You may need to do it again later, though. You may not be making a lot of progress but at least you’re moving. It’s the Ides of March. Enjoy your Caesar salad.
Tue Mar 17 at 4:01 am the Moon is in Pisces all day. At 8:25 am the Moon conjoins Mercury. Think fast, speak fast, maybe write fast. At 1:47 pm the Moon conjoins Mars. Think, speak, and write with passion. It’s the day before the New Moon. Heads Up. You know the drill. Take extra care today and safeguard those people and things most important to you. Also, it’s St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy your green beer.
Wed Mar 18 the Moon is in Pisces when Venus squares Jupiter at 9:09 am. The big picture may not be to your liking. At 6:23 pm we have the New Moon at 28 Pis. Even at the end of the zodiac we can find a way to begin something new. Heads Up all lunar month. Make it good. The Moon then goes void of course until entering Aries at 9:03 pm.
Thu Mar 19 the Moon is in Aries all day. At 12:00 am the Moon conjoins Neptune. You may find yourself working even in your sleep. Dream well. At 3:51 am the Moon conjoins Saturn. Wake up prepared to take on more responsibility. It’s also the last day that the Sun spends in Pisces. Tomorrow it may feel like everything has shifted into a higher gear. Heads up.
Fri Mar 20 the Moon is in Aries all day except for the last half hour. The Moon conjoins Venus at 2:23 am. Wear your favorite jammies. The Moon then goes void of course. At 7:46 am the Sun changes signs, leaves Pisces and enters Aries. Heads Up. The Sun is now a guest in the house ruled by Mars. That’s a lot of fire. It’s the Vernal Equinox, the first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere, first day of Autumn in the southern hemisphere. We have 12 hours of daylight everywhere and 12 hours of night, within a few minutes anyway. The Sun rises due east and sets due west. For a peek at the next three months, cast an ingress chart. Some cultures consider this day to be New Years Day, and they have a point.
Sat Mar 21 the Moon is in Taurus all day long. At 5:01 pm Mars trines Jupiter. Work passionately on something that you are happy to share.
Sun Mar 22 the Moon is in Taurus all day. The Sun conjoins Neptune in Aries at 4:10 am. Be inspired and yearning to achieve something powerful and great. At 10:40 pm the Moon conjoins Uranus and goes void of course. Stay calm and get some sleep. You’ll need the energy for tomorrow.
Mon Mar 23 the Moon enters Gemini at 1:19 am. Heads Up! Pour that mercurial spunk into the fiery Aries energy and go for broke!
Tue Mar 24 the Moon is in Gemini all day. Don’t slow down now. Get as much done as you can. You’ll be happy you did.
Wed Mar 25 the Moon is still in Gemini when the Sun conjoins Saturn at 1:55 am. Be responsible for your own well-being, and get some solid rest. The Moon at last leaves Gemini and enters Cancer at 3:33 am. Insomniacs, it’s middle of the night tea time. Get up and be more energized than expected with the Sun shining in high and mighty Aries.
Thu Mar 26 the Moon is in Cancer all day. Eat well and get a lot done at home. The Moon conjoins Jupiter at 5:58 am. Be your own good luck, because you are.
Fri Mar 27 the Moon enters Leo at 7:10 am. At 10:45 am the Moon trines Neptune. Maybe work with your favorite music in the background. At 4:01 pm the Moon trines Saturn. It’s easy to tie up a bunch of loose ends.
Sun Mar 29 the Moon in Leo trines Venus in Aries at 10:28 am. Perhaps you have a nice lunch meeting scheduled. The Moon then goes void of course, entering Virgo at 12:33 pm. It’s Palm Sunday.
Mon Mar 30 the Moon is in Virgo all day. At 9:01 am Venus changes signs, leaves sizzling Aries and goes to her diurnal home Taurus. End the month in a beautiful, tasteful way.
With so much going on, we certainly can’t complain about lacking for things to write about. Documenting our experiences and impressions, especially in fiction and art, is a true public service to one another and to history as well. This is no time to be shy and retiring.
Greet each day with fresh determination and gratitude. That’s my plan, anyway.
It’s up to us. And we are up to it.
Heads Up!
