A Full Moon at the end of Aquarius is a sizzling way to start the month. Then we have a solar eclipse New Moon on Feb 17. February looks just as nutty as January, in its own way. Look out world, here we come!
Sun Feb 01 the Moon is in Leo all day. No matter what the outside world does, we and our work can still shine. All month long. A golden day of the week with a golden Moon. Hold it in your hands. It’s yours. At 4:06 am the Moon opposes Mars. Reexamine your actions, if only in your dreams. See what you see. At 2:09 pm we have the Full Moon at 13 Leo. It’s a lunar month of not being afraid to stand on the stage in the spotlight. Do good things.
Mon Feb 02 the Moon is in Leo until the evening. At 1:56 am the Moon opposes Venus. Reexamine your social and aesthetic choices. Appreciate and share the best when you start in the morning. At 5:55 am the Moon opposes Mercury. You can make smarter decisions and embrace some smarter ideas. Start early. The Moon squares Uranus retro at 2:55 pm. It’s okay to backpedal on something that seemed good and fun before. The Moon then goes void of course until 7:21 pm until the Moon enters Virgo. This can tone down and refine what was just performative and turn it into something more substantial.
Tue Feb 03 the Moon is in Vigo all day. At 6:33 pm Uranus goes stationary direct. Surprises may escalate (oh no, not more of that!) but innovations and experimentation may escalate, too. Stay calm and be brave. Now Jupiter is the only planet that is retrograde (until the end of the month when Mercury begins his first retrograde of the year).
Wed Feb 04 the Moon is still in Virgo all day. That’s good for editing and finishing touches. Don’t spend the whole day cleaning the house, okay? At 11:49 pm the Moon opposes Saturn. Reexamine your obligations and responsibilities. Feel good about this.
Thu Feb 05 the Moon enters Libra at 1:33 am and then opposes Neptune at 2:02 am. Reexamine your aspirations, and also your less than constructive habits. Wake up with a fresh sense of yourself. At 4:14 am Mercury squares Uranus. When mischief calls, feel free to keep your hands in your pockets
Fri Feb 06 the Moon is in Libra when Mercury changes signs at 2:48 pm, leaving no-nonsense Aquarius and entering heart-felt Pisces. Thoughts may turn more to the romantic and artistic.
Sun Feb 08 the Moon is in Scorpio when Venus squares Uranus at 1:49 pm. Flamboyance may still appeal but shock value may not.
Tue Feb 10 the Moon is in Sagittarius when Venus follows Mercury and changes signs at 2:19 am, leaving Aquarius and entering Pisces. Venus is happier in Pisces and the heart may soften and grow warm more easily.
Wed Feb 11 the Moon is in Sagittarius all day. That doesn’t mean it’s a party day. We can accomplish some deep serious study and self-education today, too.
Fri Feb 13 the Moon is in Capricorn all day. At 4:11 pm Saturn leaves Pisces and joins Neptune in Aries at 4:11 pm. Now we can live our calling as well as live our dream. Happy Friday the 13th, everyone. I’ve always considered this a lucky day.
Sun Feb 15 the Moon is in Aquarius all day. At 6:10 am the Moon conjoins Pluto. If the morning is intense, we can be intense, too. At 9:02 pm the Sun squares Uranus. We can work near the edge of the cliff without being the fool.
Mon Feb 16 the Moon is still in Aquarius all day. At 10:09 am the Moon conjoins Mars. It’s a powerful perky day. Do good things, and not only for yourself. The world needs you. At 1:31 pm Mercury trines Jupiter retro. Modified good ideas can make a bigger difference than you think. It’s also the day before the New Moon, which is also a solar eclipse. Heads Up. Be safe, sensible, and strong.
Tue Feb 17 at 4:01 am we have the New Moon at 28 Aqu. Heads Up. The Moon then goes void of course for a couple of hours, entering Pisces at 6:09 am. To me, the final degrees of a sign are sort of like last call at the bar. The traits of that sign are magnified and displayed in the most honest way possible. It’s also the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse. Gong Hei Fat Choi. It’s also Mardi Gras. Le bon temps rouler. And, Ramadan starts at sundown. Celebrate with intensity! It’s also the last day that the Sun spends in analytical Aquarius. Tomorrow things may seem to have more slack.
Wed Feb 18 the Moon is in Pisces all day long. At 12:02 am the Moon conjoins Venus. Maybe stay up late and work on that romantic encounter scene. At 7:52 am, the Sun changes signs, leaves the absolutes of Aquarius and enters the depths of Pisces. Heads Up. Maybe take your heart off your sleeve but keep it beating. At 3:09 pm the Moon conjoins Mercury. Clever plot twists and shrewd solutions are at your fingertips.
Thu Feb 19 the Moon conjoins Saturn in Aries at 12:48 pm. If the morning was full of puzzles and traps, the afternoon will offer you few such challenges. You’ve got this. At 12:55 pm the Moon conjoins Neptune. If daydreaming interferes, play some favorite music and keep on keeping on. I wish these two planets liked each other better, but so it goes.
Fri Feb 20 the Moon is in Aries all day. At 8:53 am Saturn conjoins Neptune. In Aries. Zero degrees Aries. It announces the start of a bold new state of affairs. This conjunction happens maybe once every 30 or 40 years, depending on retrogrades. Do something good with it. No one will do it for us. The last time this happened was in 1989, and before that in 1953. The world has been turbulent for a long time. This conjunction may have echoes of 1989 but we shall see.
Sun Feb 22 the Moon is in Taurus all day At 12:02 pm Venus trines Jupiter retro. At least have a pleasant lunch with friends.
Mon Feb 23 the Moon conjoins Uranus at 2:20 pm and goes void of course. Some surprises can be pleasant, especially with Uranus in the final throes of luxury-loving Taurus. Four hours later the Moon changes signs, leaves Taurus and enters Gemini. Heads Up in all the mercurial, clever, and mischievous ways you can imagine. We have until Wednesday evening to make the most of it.
Tue Feb 24 the Moon is in Gemini all day. Use every minute. The Moon moves fast. Also, this is the day before Mercury goes stationary retrograde. Mercury is extremely strong now. Be smart as well as wily. Do you know where your phone, keys, favorite coffee mug, and bitcoin passwords are?
Wed Feb 25 the Moon enters Cancer at 9:11 am. Have a fine breakfast (if you get up that early). At 10:48 pm Mercury goes stationary retrograde. Heads Up. From now until March 20, Mercury will be skating backwards in Pisces. Many sentiments and convictions may flip-flop, too.
Thu Feb 26 the Moon is in Cancer all day. At 11:11 pm the Moon conjoins Jupiter retrograde. Be luckier than you feel. Because you are.
Fri Feb 27 the Moon is still in Cancer. At 8:21 am Mars squares Uranus. Heads Up. Maybe I should resume working on that dystopian novel….or maybe not. Regardless, stay level-headed. At 9:35 pm Mercury retro conjoins Venus in Pisces. How sweet is that. Thoughts may fluctuate but feelings won’t.
If you thought January was crazy, hold that thought because February may be just as crazy. It starts off with a Full Moon, and the full moon craziness starts before that. Hopefully it will cool off a few days later but it will not go away. The solar eclipse New Moon on Feb 17 may begin to express its craziness a few days before. I tend to think that aspects are strongest as they approach being exact. Solar eclipses often show up more in outside world events, not that I’m predicting anything, but unless that 28 Aqu degree figures prominently in your own natal chart, there should not be much if any direct personal importance for you.
That Saturn-Neptune conjunction on February 20 has been in the making for months now. Both planets move slowly. Hopefully after the conjunction perfects, any influence it may suggest should start to weaken, slowly of course. In the past, the conjunction seems more related to economic issues but it’s a conjunction that affects the whole world, not just us.
Regardless, we have our own work, our own lives, and we have Mercury and Venus to help us along. Enjoy what’s good and deal with the rest best we can. That’s my plan.
Heads Up!
